Ministry of Agriculture distributes crop seeds to 451 families affected by floods in Thala Borivat district, Stung Treng province

On Tuesday this week H.E Veng Sakhon, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, assigned his representative to distribute seeds of corn, kale, pumpkin and beans to 451 families affected by recent floods in Thala Parivat district, Stung Treng province.
The ceremony was held at Sre Russey Commune Hall, Thala Parivat District, and was presided over by H.E Chan Chesta, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Agriculture, H.E Mom Saroeun, Governor of Stung Treng Province, District Governor and heads from various provincial departments.
On that occasion, H.E Mom Saroeun carried a message from Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia and Samdech Kittiprittbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross, who were always concerned over the hardships felt by local people, especially people affected by the recent floods in Stung Treng.
H.E Mom Saroeun thanked Minister Veng Sakhon for assigning H.E Secretary of State to inspect and assess the actual impact of the floods that affected many hectares of agricultural land and people.
H.E Chan Chesta stated that in accordance with the instructions of the Minister of Agriculture the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries provided these crops to be cultivated on the land affected by the floods.
The Secretary of State added that this was an effort by the Royal Government of Cambodia under the leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
