Cambodian Leaders and Officials in Direct Contact with Hungarian Delegation Quarantined

The Royal Government of Cambodia has decided to conduct COVID-19 tests on the leaders and officials having direct contact with the Hungarian delegation visiting Cambodia yesterday.

They are also put in quarantine as guided by the Ministry of Health, underlined a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued this evening.

According to the same source, H.E. Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary and all members of the delegation had been tested and had COVID-19-free certificates before leaving for Cambodia.

But, when the delegation arrived in Bangkok, Thailand yesterday evening after concluding their visit in Cambodia, H.E. Péter Szijjártó was tested positive for the virus.

The Hungarian delegation led by H.E. Péter Szijjártó paid a day-long official visit in Cambodia on Nov. 3.
