300 Flood-affected Families in Angkor Chum District Receive Relief

AKP Phnom Penh, October 30, 2020 —

Some 300 flood-affected families from four communes of Angkor Chum district, Siem Reap province have obtained relief from the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training and Vision Cambodia.

The relief distribution programme took place in Cha Chhouk commune, Angkor Chum district on Oct. 30 in the presence of H.E. Veng Heang, Secretary General of the Secretariat of the National Committee Against Child Labour of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training and Mr. South Chantha, Executive Director of Vision Cambodia.

On the occasion, H.E. Veng Heang underlined the Royal Government’s attention to the people’s well-being and encouraged the flood victims to resume their cultivation as soon as the floodwaters recede.

For his part, Mr. South Chantha said the relief distribution is aimed to contribute with the Royal Government to assisting flood victims and to enhance the culture of sharing.

Each family received 30 kilogrammes of milled rice, fish sauce, canned fish, instant noodle, seasoning, salt, a Sarong, a Krama, a package of medicines.
