Cambodian PM Sends Message of Sympathy to Vietnamese Counterpart
AKP Phnom Penh, October 28, 2020 —
Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has sent a message to H.E. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, expressing his deepest sympathy over the impact of natural disaster in Vietnam.
“I am very saddened to learn about the loss of lives and missing people as well as serious damage to crops and properties in the central and Central Highlands regions, particularly Thua Thien – Hue and Quang Tri provinces of Viet Nam, due to the recent floods and landslides caused by Storms Linta and Nangka,” wrote the Cambodian Premier in his message AKP received this evening.
“In this difficult time of deep sorrow, on behalf of the Government and people of Cambodia, I would like to convey my profound condolences and sympathy to Your Excellency and the people of Viet Nam, especially the bereaved families and the victims of this terrible natural disaster,” he added
“I am confident that under Your Excellency’s strong leadership, Viet Nam will recover from the devastation of this calamity soon,” underlined Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
The Prime Minister also took the opportunity to appreciate his Vietnamese counterpart for his concern and sympathy extended to the Cambodian government and people for the loss of lives and serious damage to properties caused by floods following the continuous heavy rain in Cambodia.
