CDC Approves Three More Investment Projects of Over US$12 Million

AKP Phnom Penh, October 28, 2020 —

Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) this week approved three new investment projects with a total capital of US$12.44 million in Preah Sihanouk and Svay Rieng provinces.

According to the CDC, the newly approved projects belong to Southeast Asia Paint Chemical Industry Co., Ltd and Ying Hai Coating (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. in special economic zones in Svay Rieng province, and Flying Feather (Cambodia) Wood Industry Co., Ltd. in Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone in Preah Sihanouk province.

The three new investment projects cover the production of paint, liquid glue, solvent, bicycle accessories, packaging materials, door frames, wooden decoration materials, and so on, pointed out the same source, adding that they will create a total of 380 jobs for the locals.

Such investment amid COVID-19 outbreak demonstrates confidence of foreign investors in Cambodia’s macroeconomic, political and social stability though threatened by the pandemic.
