Cambodia Reports No New COVID-19 Case for 2nd Day

AKP Phnom Penh, October 26, 2020 —

No new case of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) was detected in Cambodia for two days in a row, according to a press release of the Ministry of Health made public this morning.

The tally thus remains at 287, including 178 Cambodians, 44 French, 18 Chinese, 13 Malaysians, 9 Indonesians, 7 Americans, 6 British, 3 Vietnamese, 3 Canadians, 1 Belgian, 2 Indians, 1 Kazakhstani, 1 Hungarian, and 1 Polish.

Meanwhile, the ministry also reported no new recovered case of COVID-19, therefore the total number of cured patients remains at 283 or 98.61 percent of the total confirmed cases.

The four remaining active cases being hospitalised at the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital in Phnom Penh are two Cambodians, a Polish, and a French.

Since the first case detected in Preah Sihanouk province in late January, the COVID-19 pandemic has affected 13 provinces and capital of Cambodia.
