COVID-19: Neither New Positive Nor Cured Case Reported

AKP Phnom Penh, October 18, 2020 —

There is neither new positive nor recovered case of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) recorded in Cambodia as of this morning, according to a press release of the Ministry of Health.

The total confirmed cases in the Kingdom thus remains at 283. They include 176 Cambodians, 43 French, 18 Chinese, 13 Malaysians, 9 Indonesians, 7 Americans, 6 British, 3 Vietnamese, 3 Canadians, 1 Belgian, 2 Indians, 1 Kazakhstani, and 1 Hungarian.

Of them, 280 or 98.94 percent have successfully recovered. The three remaining active cases are an Indonesian man, a Cambodian man, and a French woman.

Since the first case detected in Preah Sihanouk province in late January, the COVID-19 pandemic has affected 13 provinces and capital of Cambodia.
