Cambodian Premier thanks to the Private Sector for Participating in Stabilizing Cambodia’s Economy During the COVID-19 Crisis

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, thanked all the private sector for continuing to participate in maintaining the stability of the Cambodian economy during the COVID-19 crisis.
The Cambodian Prime Minister made the remarks when presiding over the inauguration of a giant entertainment center in Cambodia, “Prince Manor”, located along National Road N0 1, in Kien Svay District, Kandal Province on October,7th,2020.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen stressed that if all private companies close, Cambodians would lose their jobs, the continued operation of private companies has helped solve unemployment and wage crisis among Cambodian workers.
The Premier added that continued operation by the companies has helped to keep jobs for Cambodians and continued to create the production that Cambodia has to meet domestic demand and boost exports.
Despite the situation of COVID-19 epidemic, there are many companies investing in the Kingdom, in September 2020, 10 new investment projects were approved by the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) worth nearly US$35 million.
