Cambodian Head of Government Attends the GMIS 2020

AKP Phnom Penh, September 05, 2020 —

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, today shared his keynote address at the Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit (GMIS 2020) under the topic “Restoring Prosperity in a Post Pandemic World.”

The virtual summit was attended by world leaders, including UN Secretary-General, President of Angola, President of Armenia, President of Brazil, Crown Prince of Jordan and business leaders, government officials, and experts.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen took the opportunity to share experiences and measures that the Royal Government of Cambodia has taken to intervene and manage the socio-economic impacts caused by the COVID-19, as well as other specific policies aiming at restoring production and industry once the pandemic subsides and goes away in the near future.

GMIS2020 is set to virtually gather, for the very first time, a cross-section of thought-leaders from public and private sectors, academia, and NGOs, developing and developed countries, to discuss and shape the future of manufacturing.

The agenda is set to drive dynamic discussions and debates around the challenges and opportunities associated with harnessing the power of Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies, to build resilient global value chains, restore power to the global economy, and promote Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development, amid the crisis that has engulfed the world.
