Another COVID-19 Patient Recovered
AKP Phnom Penh, August 26, 2020 —
The Cambodian Ministry of Health this morning announced that another case of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has been successfully cured.
According to the ministry’s press release, the recovered case is a 27-year-old Cambodian man returning from Saudi Arabia via Malaysia. He has been allowed to be discharged after being tested negative twice consecutively.
The total number of cured patients thus rose to 264 or 96.70 percent of the total cases, it added.
Meanwhile, the same source continued, no new case of COVID-19 was detected for 10 days in a row, the tally thus remains at 273, including 174 Cambodians, 40 French, 17 Chinese, 13 Malaysians, 8 Indonesians, 7 Americans, 5 British, 3 Vietnamese, 3 Canadians, 1 Belgian, 1 Indian, and 1 Kazakhstani.
Since the first case detected in Preah Sihanouk province in late January, the COVID-19 pandemic has so far hit 13 provinces and capital of Cambodia.
