COVID-19: No New Positive Case, No Cured Patients Reported
AKP Phnom Penh, August 24, 2020 —
Cambodia reported zero new case of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) for eight consecutive days, the tally thus remains at 273, said the Ministry of Health in its press release issued this morning.
The 273 confirmed cases include 174 Cambodians, 40 French, 17 Chinese, 13 Malaysians, 8 Indonesians, 7 Americans, 5 British, 3 Vietnamese, 3 Canadians, 1 Belgian, 1 Indian, and 1 Kazakhstani.
Meanwhile, added the press release, no recovered case was recorded, therefore the total number of cured patients remains at 263 or 96.34 percent of the total cases.
Since the first case detected in Preah Sihanouk province in late January, the COVID-19 pandemic has so far hit 13 provinces and capital of Cambodia.
