Cambodian Premier continues appealing to citizens to be vigilant to prevent COVID-19 infection

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, continued appealing to his compatriots to keep practicing social distancing and maintain good hygiene, especially among large groups of people to prevent COVID-19 infection in the Kingdom during the five days’ holidays to be held from August 17 to 21,2020.

Samdech Techo made the appeals while visiting Prey Kabas, district , Takeo province to learn about the country’s agricultural

progress yesterday morning.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister also urged people to wear face masks and wash their hands regularly with soap, alcohol or gels.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen on July 15, 2020, issued a sub-decree to

allow civil servants, employees and workers to have five days holiday from Augeust,17th , to 21st ,2020 to substitute the 5 days off during the annual traditional new year celebration in mid – April that was suspended to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

As of July, 21th, Cambodia has found that 197 people have been infected with the virus, of whom 140 have recovered, while 57 people have been treated, according to the press release of the Ministry of Health on Tuesday morning.
