Cambodia seeks partners to continue purchasing carbon credits

Cambodia has been looking for partners to continue buying carbon
credits, since 2016 to 2020, the Kingdom has been sold carbon credits
worth over US$ 11 million.
The Secretary of State of the Ministry for Environment and
spokesperson Neth Pheaktra gave the tally during his visit to the
Cardamom Mountains in Koh Kong province from July 9th to 10th ,2020.
H.E Neth Pheaktra said the three sites where Cambodia
sells carbon credits include the Keo Shema, the South Cardamom
Mountains and Prek Tatai Wildlife Sanctuary.
He added that the Royal Government of Cambodia, through the Ministry
of Environment, was paying high attention to the protection and
conservation of natural resources by preserving forests, which play
an important role in protecting the planet’s ecosystem.
