DPM Prak Sokhonn to Join 13th Mekong-Japan Cooperation Foreign Ministers’ Meeting via Video Conference This Week

Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Prak Sokhonn will participate in the 13th Mekong-Japan Cooperation Foreign Ministers’ Meeting via Video Conference, to be held on July 9, 2020.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued this afternoon, the forthcoming meeting will be co-chaired by H.E. Pham Binh Minh, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, and H.E. Motegi Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan.

This virtual Meeting will hold discussions on the progress made under the “Tokyo Strategy 2018” and the “Mekong-Japan Initiative for SDGs 2030”, as well as on “Mekong-Japan Cooperation for Achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and Integral Strengthening of Economic Relations” through sharing of experiences and best practices in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and promoting of health, economic and sustainable development in the Mekong region, underlined the same source.
