The Ministry of Social Affairs signs MoU with seven organizations
RNK Phnom Penh, May 22nd , 2020-
The Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with seven organizations to assist in the social, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation programs with emphasis on helping to protect vulnerable children.
The seven organizations are working on the project agreement with the Ministry of Social Welfare for three years with a total project cost of $ 83,903,387.
The Signing Ceremony was officially held yesterday under the presidency of H.E Toch Channy Director General of the General Department of Technical, Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation with the participation from the heads of all the seven NGO, and relevant official of the Ministry as well.
In addition, H.E Toch Channy has called on the Ministry’s working groups and the organizations to work together. For the Ministry of Social Affairs, it is always welcome the partners and organizations to help the victims in Cambodia to improve their lives.
The seven organizations that have signed an agreement with the Ministry of Social Affairs are currently involved in helping to protect victims of human trafficking, child exploitation, sexual abuse, sex trafficking, trafficking of child labor in community, childcare centers, children in conflict with the law and the homeless children.
At the same time, H.E Toch Channy remind the seven organizations that have signed the MOU to continue the protection of Covid-19, as recommended by the Royal Government as well as the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Social Affairs.
