Samdech Techo Hun Sen Thanks Civil Servants, Private Companies, and Workers for contributing to fight against COVID-19 by continuing their normal activities during Khmer New Year Holiday

According to Samdech Techo Hun Sen‘s face book page posted on April 12, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padey Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia has thanked civil servants, private companies, and workers for contributing to fight against COVID-19 by continuing their normal activities during Khmer New Year Holiday. Samdech also wished his compatriots a safe and happy life during 2020 Khmer New Year.

The Prime Minister said that traditional Khmer New Year will fall on April 13 to 16, and Cambodian people can celebrate their respective home. For the public gathering as well as entertainment events at the public areas will be banned for this year, added the Premier.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen also called on people to continue implementing hygiene measures by wearing masks or kormas, cleaning hands frequently with soap, alcohol liquid, hands gel, and not gathering at public space, and moving from one place to another during this​​ spread of the virus.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed that the Royal Government of Cambodia decided to ban the movement of the people from province to province, suspend Khmer New Year holiday and would give a 5 days’ holiday substitute after the absence of COVID-19 from the Kingdom.
