NA to Hold Extraordinary Session This Week to Discuss Three Draft Laws

Cambodia’s National Assembly (NA) will convene an extraordinary session on Mar. 26 to discuss and approve three draft laws, according to a press release made public after the NA Standing Committee meeting here this morning.

The forthcoming parliamentary session will be chaired by Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Héng Samrin, President of NA.

The first document to be discussed will be the draft law on approval of payment warranty of the Royal Government of Cambodia for Royal Group Investment Group Co., Ltd. for the investment project in the construction of a 700 MW coal-fired power plant in Koh Kong province.

The second document will be the draft law on approval of payment warranty of the Royal Government of Cambodia for Han Seng Coal Mine Co., Ltd. for the investment project in the construction of a 265 MW coal-fired power plant in Oddar Meanchey province.

The draft law on approval of payment warranty of the Royal Government of Cambodia for Han Seng Coal Mine Co., Ltd. for the project of building a 230 kV power transmission network from the coal-fired power plant in Oddar Meanchey province to a substation in Siem Reap province will be the third document to be discussed and approved during the upcoming extraordinary session.
