Cambodia Reports Three New Cases of COVID-19 Today
AKP Phnom Penh, March 23, 2020 —
Cambodia reported only three new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) today, compared to 31 cases yesterday, pointed out the Ministry of Health in a new press release.
The three new cases have been found on a French woman, 28 – the mother of the four-month-old infected baby in Phnom Penh – and two Cambodian men of 36 and 45 years old detected in Koh Kong and Kampong Cham provinces, respectively.
With the three new cases, the total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Cambodia rose to 87.
Among the 87 COVID-19 confirmed cases, there are 35 Cambodians, 3 British, 34 French, a Canadian, a Belgian, 12 Malaysians, and a Chinese. Of them, two have already recovered.
Since the first case detected in Preah Sihanouk province in late January, the COVID-19 pandemic has now hit 13 provinces and capital of Cambodia.
