Work-from-Home Policies Being Implemented
AKP Phnom Penh, March 20, 2020 —
Some ministries and institutions have been practicing work-from-home policies, a move to prevent the possible spread of COVID-19 pandemic as the infection cases in Cambodia rose now to 47.
The ministries allowing officials to work from home are Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports, Ministry of Industry and Handicraft, and Ministry of Commerce, as well as National Assembly.
During the implementation of work-from-home policies, some officials are asked to standby at their respective offices to provide public services and give information to the public.
Additionally, paperless or digital-based working process is being encouraged in order to reduce the possible contamination of COVID-19.
Other ministries and institutions, although they do not practice the work-from-home policies, have advised their officials to follow the preventive measures such as frequent hand washing and body temperature taking at workplaces.
As of Mar. 20, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Cambodia increased to 47, of them 28 are Cambodians.
