PM urges farmers to increase their cultivation of chemical-free vegetables and to reduce imports of vegetables

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen , Prime Minister  of Cambodia , urged Cambodian farmers to increase their  cultivation of chemical-free vegetables to meet domestic demand, to reduce imports of chemical-imported vegetables and to serve tourists who staying in Cambodia.

Addressing the graduation ceremony of nearly 2,000 students of the National Institute for Education on Tuesday, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said The agriculture sector serves the tourism industry.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Cambodia needs about 573 tons of vegetable per day, Cambodian farmers produced about 400 tons of vegetable and other 170 tons imported from Vietnam, Thailand and China.
