Cambodia- Singapore continue enhancing solidarity, friendship and cooperation with each other

The Cambodian Royal Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief, General Vong Pisen received a delegation from Singapore, led by Commander of the Royal Navy of Singapore, General Go Zihou on Monday in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

In the meeting the two sides expressed satisfaction at the cooperation between the two countries.

Gen. Vong Pisen recalled the times when Cambodia had been ravaged by war, which had destroyed infrastructure and human resources.

The Cambodian top commander also stressed on the achievements made by the government after the liberation day of January 7, 1979  thanks to the win-win politicy of Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen, which has brought peace back to.

The Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) has been making significant progress in strengthening its defense capabilities as well as regional and international integration, said the Cambodian commander.

General. Vong Pisen added that since 2006 Cambodia has sent many men to join the UN peacekeeping operations. He also thanked the Republic of Singapore for its support for the Cambodian army in training,

In reply, General Go Zihou thanked the Commander-in-Chief for the warm hospitality and was convinced that the friendship and cooperation between the two countries would further be improved.
