Cambodia exports about 3 tons of fresh mangos to South Korea

Cambodia has exported about 3 tons of fresh mangoes to South Korea for the first time, which will help expand its overseas agricultural market.
Mr.Ngin Chhay, Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries told local media on Wednesday that this is the first time that Cambodia has exported fresh mangos to South Korea through the Hyundia Mao legacy Company located in Kampong Speu Province.
Cambodia exported Fresh mangos, jam and maple syrup to several countries, such as Vietnam, Thailand, France, Spain, Hong Kong
In 2018, Cambodia exported around 10,000 tons of fresh mangos, mango Jam, and maple syrup to the international market and in 2019 more than 600,000 tons was shipped overseas.
Mr Ker Mony Vuth, Director of the Department of Crops protection and Sanitary Botany of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, told local media that Cambodia can harvest about 4 million tons of mangoes a year and mango trees are grown on about 100,000 hectares each year.
