Cambodian National Assembly President asks Australian Parliament and Government to Boost Australia’s Investment and Tourism in Cambodia

President of the National Assembly, Samdech Heng Samrin asked the Government and Parliament of Australia to help encourage more Australian investors and tourists to Cambodia.

The request was made when the Cambodian National Assembly President met with H.E Tony Smith, President of the Australian Parliament and chairman of the Annual meeting of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF) in Canberra  ,Australia on January 14th.

The Australian Parliament President thanked the President of Cambodian National Assembly for attending the 28th Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum ( APPF)  in Australia.

Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin emphasized the importance of the Australian Parliament in regional and global inter-parliamentary forums.

Samdech Heng Samrin highly appreciated the 28th APPF meeting, with the good cooperation of APPF members for the prosperity of the people.

The President of the National Assembly of Cambodia also thanked the Australian Government and people for their contribution to the peace and development in Cambodia. Australia is now Cambodia’s key development partner in almost every sector.

Samdech Heng Samrin invited the Australian parliament president to pay an official visit to Cambodia and attend the 11th Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership Meeting (ASEM) that Cambodia will host in late 2020.
