AKP Phnom Penh, January 14, 2020 —
The Women Run 10 KM and 4 KM, scheduled for Mar. 8, 2020, will contribute to enhancing the participation of women in the process toward the 32nd SEA Games to be hosted by Cambodia in 2023.
At a press conference here yesterday, H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC), said the upcoming sport event is aimed to increase women’s participation in sports development, gender equity promotion and environmental protection as the Kingdom is conducting the “Kampuchea Sa-at” (clean Cambodia) campaign toward the SEA Games 2023.
H.E. Ms. Koy Pisey, Chairwoman of the NOCC’s Women and Sports Commission echoed what H.E. Vath Chamroeun mentioned earlier, adding that the Women Run 10 KM and 4 KM, the first of its kind in Phnom Penh, will encourage more and more women to take part in sport activities.
This race is open for all, but particularly women. The registration will continue until Feb. 21, 2020.
