AIMF Permanent Secretary: Phnom Penh Should Be a Model of City Development for Africa
AKP Phnom Penh, December 02, 2019 —
The Permanent Secretary of the International Association of Francophone Mayors (AIMF) Mr. Pierre Baillet said Phnom Penh should be a model for other cities in Africa.
Mr. Pierre Baillet made the remarks when he and H.E. Khuong Sreng, Governor of Phnom Penh Municipality, were presiding over here yesterday afternoon the inauguration ceremony of the newly equipped playground at a public park in Chroy Changvar to mark the 40 years of Phnom Penh’s reconstruction and development and the 40th founding anniversary of AIMF.
Mr. Pierre Baillet also expressed his impression of the current progress of Phnom Penh and highly valued the good cooperation between Phnom Penh and AIMF.
For his part, H.E. Khuong Sreng briefed the participants on the policy and challenges as well as major achievements of Phnom Penh capital city.
Following in the same afternoon, H.E. Khuon Sreng and Mr. Pierre Baillet inaugurate a photo exhibition on the development of Phnom Penh in the past 40 years.
