Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has recalled the time when he lost his eldest son 43 years ago, during the Khmer Rouge genocidal regime.
According to a message on his official Facebook page this morning, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said the loss of his eldest son, Hun Kamsot, is the saddest time and an unforgettable suffering in his life.
What made him more suffered was that he was not allow to bury his dead baby and take care of his postpartum wife.
The Premier added that Nov. 10, 2019 will be the first day of the Water Festival, but for him, it will be the sadness day as it will be the 43rd anniversary of the tragic death of his eldest son.
“[…] I don’t want to talk about my pains on the happy day. So I chose Nov. 8 to post an article that I post every year instead […],” he said.
