Samdech Techo Hun Sen offers ASEAN and the United Nations to prevent terrorism

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia called on ASEAN and the United Nations to continue their efforts to prevent international terrorism by exchanging necessary information between ASEAN and the United Nations.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen made the remarks at the 10th ASEAN Summit on November 3, 2019 in Thailand.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen said that Cambodia and all other ASEAN countries would continue to work closely and effectively with the United Nations and UN agencies to fully implement the Paris agreement on climate change.

The Heads of State of the ASEAN Government and the Secretary-General of the United Nations welcomed the progress made in the implementation of the ASEAN-UN Action Plan 2016-2020 in the spirit of strengthening The ASEAN-United Nations cooperation.

The leaders of the ASEAN-UN felt that the ASEAN and the United Nations must continue and promote closer cooperation, including strengthening the relationship between the ASEAN Secretariat and the United Nations Secretariat to oversee implementation that could support the ASEAN Community Building Plan 2020 and the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations for sustainable development.
