Cambodia to Propose 30 Sports for 2019 SEA Games in the Philippines

Cambodia will propose 30 kinds of sports for the upcoming SEA Games 2019 to be hosted by the Philippines from November 30 to December 11.

The update was shared by H.E. Vat Chamroeun, Tourism Secretary of State and Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia yesterday.

He continued that H.E. Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, has recently revealed the official list of the proposed sports by Cambodia.

Among the 30 sports, he added, Cambodia is very confident of at least nine, including football, wrestling, beach volleyball, board volleyball, basketball, hokey, and e-sport.

Cambodia will send 400 athletes, sport officials, coaches, arbitrators and team leaders to the international challenge.

In 2017, Cambodia won 17 gold, silver and bronze medals from the year’s SEA Games taking place in Malaysia.
