This Year’s High School Exam Begins

AKP Phnom Penh, August 19, 2019 —

The two-day high school exam kicked off this morning in 202 exam centres of 4,818 exam rooms in all capital and provinces of Cambodia.

In total, 119, 217 candidates, up nearly 6 percent from last year, sit for this year’s exam taking place on Aug. 19-20.

Minister of Education, Youth and Sports H.E. Hang Chuon Naron and H.E. Say Samal, Minister of Environment and Head of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia-Phnom Penh Municipal Branch cut an envelope of an exam subject at Preah Sisowath High School in Phnom Penh.

The results are expected to be released in mid-September.

During last year’s exam, held on Aug. 20-21, a total of 76,034 high school students, or 67 percent, obtained their baccalaureate – 408 of them achieved grade-A, 2,222 grade-B, 6,041 grade-C, 15,180 grade-D, and 52,183 grade-E.
