Cambodia, Malaysia Tourism Agreement Discussed
AKP Phnom Penh, August 14, 2019—
Cambodia has requested for possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding on tourism sector with Malaysia through Malaysian Business Council of Cambodia (MBCC) in a near future.
H.E. Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce, shared the intention while holding a bilateral trade cooperation discussion with H.E. Eldeen Husaini Bin Mohd Hashim, Ambassador of Malaysia to Cambodia, at the ministry office yesterday.
The minister suggested the point to be included in as a discussion for the cooperation between Cambodia and Malaysia during up-coming state visit of H.E. Mahathir bin Mohamad, Prime Minister of Malaysia, to Cambodia in September.
According to H.E. Eldeen Husaini Bin Mohd Hashim, expansion of bilateral trade volume and cooperation in areas of finance and business will also be covered during the Malaysian premier’s visit.
In the discussion the two sides also touched on the establishment of bicycle spare part manufacturing, production value chain, and total products in region with Certificate of Origin.
