Cambodian Pepper Reaches Markets in 10 Countries

Cambodian pepper currently is being exported to more than ten countries, claimed the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

The markets of the Kingdom’s pepper are Vietnam, France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Britain, Japan, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, India, Belgium, and Taiwan.

The ministry continued that Cambodia exported a total of 2,863 tons of pepper in the first seven months and 12 days of this year.

The Cambodia pepper is grown in many places throughout the country, however, the most popular and well-recognised pepper is the one produced in Kampot, achieving the World Trade Organization’s Geographical Indication (GI) status in 2010.
