Cambodia’s Export to U.S. Surpasses US$2 Billion in First Semester

Cambodia’s export to the United States of America – the world largest market – has risen sharply, surpassing US$2 billion in the first six months of this year.
According to latest data from U.S. government, Cambodia’s total exports to the country from January to June this year was valued at US$2.24 billion, suggesting a rise of 30 percent comparing to US$1.76 billion last year.
Two-way trade between the two countries was amounted to US$2.5 billion from the first six months of this year, up 30 percent, from US$1.92 billion last year, and of this figure, Cambodia imported US$264 million from the U.S.
Last year, the bilateral trade of Cambodia and the U.S. was amounted to US$4.26 billion, up 23 percent year-on-year, and of the amount, Cambodia exported US$3.81 billion to the U.S.
