Cambodia’s First Pharmaceutical Online Registration System Kick-Started

AKP Phnom Penh, August 02, 2019 —

Ministry of Health has officially launched the first-ever Pharmaceutical Online Registration System (CamPORS) for Cambodia.

Minister of Health H.E Mam Bunheng chaired the launching of the online registration system that took place here at Phnom Penh Hotel yesterday with some other 300 participants from concerned government bodies and development partners.

CamPORS will further promote Cambodia’s effective management of pharmaceutical products, contributing to upgrading health service in the Kingdom, said the health minister.

He underlined that this is an essential and historic health reform in Cambodia, inspired by the commitment of the Royal Government of Cambodia leadership in fighting fake and low quality pharmaceutical products.

At the same time, he continued, the Ministry of Health will continue to cooperate with relevant authorities to crackdown the circulation and supply of illegal products and address online selling of unregistered products.

World Health Organisation (WHO) Representative to Cambodia Dr. Ailan Li, who also attended the event, cheered the Royal Government of Cambodia as well as the Ministry of Health for the new move in the health sector, and pledged to continue its support for Kingdom.

H.E. Mam Bunheng took the opportunity to thank development partners, particularly the World Health Organisation for their technical and financial assistance to foster health sector in Cambodia, and expressed his appreciation of the hard work of his officials at all levels.
