Cambodia’s Education Roadmap Toward 2030

Education ministry is circulating Cambodia’s education 2030 roadmap to further promote the sector in Cambodia toward sustainable development.
According to H.E. Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, “the roadmap focuses primarily on providing quality service, equity, inclusive early childhood, primeary and secondary education.”
The document, he added in the preface for the publication, “includes technical and vocational education, especially life-long learning, to improve quality effectiveness, job productivity in line with the technological age of promoting economic and social prosperity.”
Developed through various consultations among ministries, institutions, stakeholders and development partners, the 59-page document is coherent with existing policies, leading to further clarity and consistency of vision, policy and strategies to achieve the Cambodia Sustainable Development Goal 4.
As highlighted by the education minister, “the successful implementation of the roadmap will require dedicated and concerted efforts by all ministries and agencies, development partners, private sector, civil society organisations and other relevant stakeholders.”
In addition to the background for its compilation, the roadmap entails context of Cambodia’s development, education sector, the area’s vision, policy priorities and strategies, financing, and monitoring and evaluation.
