Preliminary In-Country Contest in Cambodia for Asian International Children’s Film Festival to Be Held in September

The Embassy of Japan in Cambodia, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, will host the 11th Preliminary In-Country Contest in Cambodia for the Asian International Children’s Film Festival in mid-September.
According to the embassy’s press release AKP received yesterday evening, the event to be organised at Angkor-Kizuna Hall of the Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Centre (CJCC), Phnom Penh on Sept. 16, will be the competition of short films produced by Cambodian high school students under the theme of “How do you think about causing others trouble? Is it okay if only you are good? Can you think about other people?”
Three best films will be selected to join the Asian International Children’s Film Festival 2019 to take place on Dec. 7, 2019 in Minami-Awaji City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, it pointed out.
There will be an orientation course at CJCC on July 14 afternoon and the deadline for application forms and films entry will be Aug. 23 at the Embassy of Japan, said the same source.
All Cambodian high school students of grade 10 and 11 are invited to apply for the contest, underlined the press release, adding that the application forms are available at https://www.kh.emb-japan.go.jp/itpr_en/00_000145.html.
