AKP Phnom Penh, June 07, 2019 —

A world cycling race will be organised in early 2020 at the Cambodian beach, according to the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism.

Scheduled to take place from Jan. 4 to 6, 2020, the race will be the first event of its kind in Cambodia.

In their meeting here yesterday afternoon to discuss the organisation of the three-day race, Cambodian Minister of Tourism H.E. Thong Khon and Mr. Bruno Bodard, Director General of the World’s Most Beautiful Bays Club welcomed the upcoming race.

This sport event will become a new major annual tourism product of the Cambodian coastal areas, underlined H.E. Minister.

For his part, Mr. Bruno Bodard expressed the Club’s strong support for Cambodia in the organisation of this world event, in terms of techniques, coordination with concerned parties and international relations and cooperation.

The coastal areas of Cambodia stretch for about 450 kilometre long in four provinces: Preah Sihanouk, Koh Kong, Kampot and Kep. They became a member of the World’s Most Beautiful Bays Club in mid-2011.
