Cambodia Nominates Six Cities and Khan for ASEAN Clean City Competition

AKP Phnom Penh, May 21, 2019 —

Cambodia has nominated six cities and Khan for the second ASEAN Clean City Competition 2020-2022.

The notification was shared recently by the National Committee for Clean City Assessment (NCCA), adding that the result of the competition will be announced during the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) in Brunei in January 2020.

The nominated cities and Khan are Kampot, Kampong Cham, Pursat, Takhmao, Kampong Chhnang and Daun Penh (Phnom Penh).

In the previous round of the competition in 2018, Battambang, Kep and Siem Reap cities of Cambodia received the ASEAN Clean Tourism Award.

The challenge was introduced with a vision to promote tourist cities in ASEAN to be clean, green, attractive and competitive toward sustainable tourism growth across the region.
