PM Calls for Vigilance about Non-seasonal Rainfall

AKP Phnom Penh, April 01, 2019 —

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has appealed to all competent authorities and people to be more vigilant about non-seasonal rainfall.

Non-seasonal rainfall has happened in some provinces, thus reducing heat wave and high temperature in the country, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said at the graduation ceremony of more than 3,000 new graduates of Vanda Institute in Phnom Penh this morning.

But, he added, non-seasonal rainfall has come with gusts and lightning, therefore we need to be more cautious.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen also reminded all stakeholders to keep rain water for local consumption because the dry season will last longer.

According to the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, non-seasonal rainfall continues in different areas, along with thunder, lightning and gusts, between Mar. 30 and April 2, while the temperature is in general between 30 and 33 degrees Celsius.
