Cambodia Earns 3 Gold and Silver Medals on Fifth Day of Special Olympics Games

Cambodian special athletes earned two gold and one silver medals on the fifth day of “Abu Dhabi 2019 Special Olympics World Games” happening in United Arab Emirate (UAE).


The update was shared recently by the official of the National Special Olympic Committee of Cambodia.


Ms. Roeung Lakhena earned a gold medal for 200-metre running, and Ms. Yoeun Sokchan won similar medal from bowling, underlined the official Mr. Meas Sareth.


Mr. Phon Sovann, he continued, got a silver medal from 400-metre running.


Including the said progress, Cambodia by far received eight medals – two gold, three siliver, and three bronze – from the tournament.

Lasting from Mar. 14 to 21, Abu Dhabi 2019 Special Olympics World Games have been participated by some 7,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities from 170 countries across the world.
