Preah Sihanouk Deputy Governor Receives Chinese PLA Delegation

Deputy Governor of Preah Sihanouk province Mr. Chhin Seng Nguon has received a visitinig delegation of Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy led by Rear Admiral Mr. Xu Haihua, Assistant Chief of Staff for Chinese PLA Navy.


In the meeting taking place yesterday in Preah Sihanoukville, Mr. Chhin Seng Nguon expressed warm welcome to the Chinese delegation’s visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia.


The deputy governor briefed the Chinese visitors about the province’s development potentials, especially in tourism and transport, adding that it also has habour and airport to facilitate trading.


There are currently four special economic zones and over 160 plants in the province, and the province has entered special alliance with 16 provinces of China by far, he continued. 


From his end, Rear Admiral Mr. Xu Haihua spoke highly of Cambodia-China relations, especially progressing direct connection between Preah Sihanouk province and provinces of China, stressing that the move is yielding mutual benefits mutually for the two nations and peoples.


Rear Admiral Mr. Xu Haihua is leading three Chinese PLA Navy ships for a four-day (Jan. 9-12) visit in Cambodia. The ships docked at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port in Preah Sihanouk province yesterday morning.
