About 8,000 Cases of Illicit Drug Use and Trafficking Intervened in 2018
AKP Phnom Penh, January 02, 2019 —
Cambodian competent authorities intervened 8,018 cases of illicit drug use and trafficking in 2018, according to local media report.
Of the cases intervened, added the source, 16,232 suspects including 310 foreigners from 24 different nationalities were arrested.
The authorities confiscated about 533 illicit drugs of different kinds along with other properties such as weapons, cars, motorbike, hand phones, and beyond.
The Royal Government of Cambodia through the Ministry of Interior is working hard to address drug use and trafficking which are threatening young generations, social security as well as national development.
