7th Sea Festival Attracts 380,000 Tourists
AKP Phnom Penh, December 18, 2018 –
Cambodia’s 7th sea festival celebrated earlier in Koh Kong province attracted 380,000 domestic and international tourists – a remarkable increase compared to the previous celebration, according to local media report.
Day one of the event was participated by 90,000 tourists, day two 200,000, and day three nearly 90,000 – shared a lead of the event Minister of Tourism H.E. Thong Khon.
Happening from Dec. 14 to 16, the sea festival – as claimed by the minister – the figure was six times higher than what expected.
Sustained peace, political stability and high economic performance of Cambodia contribute significantly to another success of sea festival celebration, underlined H.E. Ms. Mithona Phouthorng – governor of the host province which is home to countless tourist attractions.
As scheduled, the 8th sea festival will be organised in Kampot province in December 2019.
