18 Foreign Countries Investing in Cambodia’s Construction Industry

In construction sector alone, 18 foreign countries and regions are investing in Cambodia, according to a press release circulated recently by the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction.

Those countries and regions, added the statement, are China, Korea, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan of China, England, Malaysia, Russia, Canada, Laos, Vietnam, Indonesia, France, India, United States of America, Holland, and Belgium.

Based on the figure from the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, foreign investment volume for construction in Cambodia was US$6.4 billion in 2017.

It continued that some 200,000 locals were employed for residential house development, while other 1,100 were hired for high building construction projects under those investments.
