AKP Phnom Penh, December 15, 2018 —
Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received at Koh Kong Resort in Koh Kong province this morning visiting General Manager of the World Most Beautiful Bays in the World Club (World-Bays Club) H.E. Bruno Bodard.
According to H.E. Sry Thamrong, Delegate Minister Attached to the Prime Minister, in the courtesy meeting, H.E. Bruno Bodard expressed his impression with the beautiful landscape along the way to Koh Kong province.
He underlined that bay development is like cultural heritage conservation, i.e. to protect its environment sustainably.
The World-Bays Club general manager suggested an international bike race joined by professional cyclists from Asia, Europe and America. The race would start from Dara Sakor Seashore Resort in Koh Kong province to Bokor, then to Kep, Kampot and Preah Sihanouk provinces, he added.
For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen voiced his support to the project, which will contribute to showing off the potential of Cambodian bay.
The Cambodian Premier also agreed with the suggestion to organise the General Assembly of World-Bays Club in Cambodia in 2022.
Stretching in the length of 450 kilometres in four provinces – Koh Kong, Preah Sihanouk, Kampot and Kep – Cambodia’s coastline was recognised as a world most beautiful bay in May 2011.
