DPM Hor Namhong To Attend MLC Foreign Minister’s Meeting in Lao PDR
AKP Phnom Penh, December 15, 2018 —
Deputy Prime Minister Hor Namhong will lead a delegation to attend the 4th Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (MLC) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting to take place on Dec. 16-17 in Luang Prabang, Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the 4th MLC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, which will be held under the theme “Enhancing Partnership of Shared Prosperity”, aims to review the progress of the implementation of the Five-Year Plan of Action of the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (2018-2022) and to discuss the future direction of this cooperation for sustainable development in the Mekong Subregion.
At the conclusion, the 4th MLC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting is expected to adopt two documents, including the Joint Press Communiqué of the 4th MLC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and Progress Report of the Year 2018 on Implementing of the MLC Five-Year Plan of Action.
During his stay in Lao PDR, H.E. Deputy Prime Minister Hor Namhong will have a bilateral meeting with H.E. Wang Yi, State Counsellor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.
