Cambodia Officially Announces Timing for 2023 SEA Games
AKP Phnom Penh, September 16, 2019—
Cambodia has scheduled an official date of the upcoming 2023 SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games 2023 that the Kingdom will host here in Phnom Penh.
Official announcement of the timing took place recently here in the capital under the presidency of Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense and President of Cambodian Sea Games Organising Committee (CAMSOC).
Delegations, including sports senior officials, foreign experts, artists, ambassadors to Cambodia from ASEAN countries were present during the official announcement.
Addressing the function, H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC), reported the CAMSOC’s preparation progress for the games, underlining that the Kingdom is ready to host it.
Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh highlighted that it is an honor for Cambodia to be the host of the historic event.
He continued that the official timing announcement marked the moment to countdown from toward the 32nd SEA Games happening from May 5 to 15, 2023.
