Technical Discussion on Expressway National Road 48

Ministry of Public Works and Transports has held a technical discussion meeting on construction of expressway national road 48.
The discussion meeting between Public Works and Transport Secretary of State H.E So Victor and technical advisory team from the Korean Consultants International (KCI) took place recently at the ministry here in Phnom Penh.
The meeting aims to look into emerging issues for the project and identifying solutions in order to ensure smooth construction of the expressway.
As planned, the expressway to cost about US$75 million will stretch over 150 kilometres from Sre Ambel district to provincial town of Koh Kong province.
The Royal Government of Cambodia is building the ten-metre wide expressway of four lanes to be a corridor linking Thailand and Vietnam, according to earlier remark by Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.
At the same time, Cambodia is building a 190 kilometre expressway between Phnom Penh capital and the seaport province of Preah Sihanouk – the project worth about US$1.9 billion and expected to be completed in 2022.
