Nepalese Prime Minister Begins His Official Visit in Cambodia
AKP Phnom Penh, May 13, 2019 —
The Rt. Hon’ble K. P. Sharma Oli, Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, and his spouse started this afternoon their three-day official visit in Cambodia, at the invitation of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
They were warmly welcomed at Phnom Penh International Airport by H.E. Say Samal, Minister of Environment and many other senior government officials.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, during his visit in Cambodia from May 13 to 15, the Rt. Hon’ble K. P. Sharma Oli will pay courtesy calls on Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum, President of the Senate, and Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, President of the National Assembly, and hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
In addition, the Rt. Hon’ble K.P. Sharma Oli is expected to make a key note address at the Cambodia-Nepal Business Forum, continued the same source.
The Rt. Hon’ble K.P. Sharma Oli will also lay wreaths at the Independence Monument and the Monument of Preah Borom Rattanak Kaudh, the Late King-Father of Cambodia.
This visit will further strengthen the bonds of friendship and promote economic, trade, tourism and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
In November last year, Samdech Techo Hun Sen paid his first-ever visit to Nepal, during which both nations have reached four cooperation deals, including the agreement on visa exemption for diplomatic and official passport holders, agreement on air transport, memorandum of understanding on consultations between both countries’ Ministries of Foreign Affairs in the fields of politics and economy, and memorandum of understanding on cultural cooperation.
