Minister Appreciates Cambodian STEM Champion
AKP Phnom Penh, November 04, 2020 —
The Minister of Education, Youth and Sports has appreciated 12 Cambodian high school students who won Cambodia the 10th place in the First Global Challenge 2020.
H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, the minister, expressed his appreciation when receiving the 12 students of E2STEM recently at the ministry.
The student team represented Cambodia for the international robotic challenge initiated for high school students globally to showcase the competency in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) with other 175 countries.
H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron inspired the high school students to utilise the achievement – which is the first rank in ASEAN – as an entry point for their higher education.
The students have been trained through the E2STEM Education, a non-profit STEM education provider working in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport to promote STEM in Cambodia.
The minister also encouraged the partner to introduce a national STEM challenge in the future by including humanities discipline.
