COVID-19: Zero New Case Recorded in Cambodia for a Week

AKP Phnom Penh, August 23, 2020 —

No new case of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) was detected in Cambodia for seven days in a row, the tally thus remains at 273, according to a press release of the Ministry of Health issued this morning.

The 273 confirmed cases include 174 Cambodians, 40 French, 17 Chinese, 13 Malaysians, 8 Indonesians, 7 Americans, 5 British, 3 Vietnamese, 3 Canadians, 1 Belgian, 1 Indian, and 1 Kazakhstani.

At the same time, no recovered case was reported, therefore the total number of cured patients remains at 263 or 96.34 percent of the total cases, it underlined.

Since the first case detected in Preah Sihanouk province in late January, the COVID-19 pandemic has so far hit 13 provinces and capital of Cambodia.
